The family of Andrew Wieman, the UC Davis student found dead in his room on the UC Davis campus on Jan. 4, has announced plans for a graveside service in Andrew's memory at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at Sunset Memorial Park in Eureka, Calif.
The investigation into the manner of Andrew's death continues. Nevertheless, the family has determined that a graveside service will allow them some degree of closure and healing, and allow the family to express their thanks to all those who have provided their love and support.
The following announcement regarding the service has appeared in local publications in Eureka.
ANDREW VERNON WIEMAN
Born June 19, 1980, he lived, was and is still loved and missed after his death on Jan. 4.
Graveside service for Andrew will be Friday, Feb. 16, at 3 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, with Pastor Bob VanLaan officiating. Friends are welcome. His family wishes to thank all in this community and beyond who have been so supportive and generous in love, compassion and donations made in Andrew's memory.
