April 1, Wednesday -- High-school students participating in the UC Davis law school's Street Law Program will tour the law school, observe first-year classes, and meet in small groups with law students to discuss university education and law studies. The program is designed to teach inner-city high-school students about legal rights and responsibilities and to introduce them to the legal system through classroom studies, mock trials and field trips to the legislature, courthouses and city council meetings. About 75 senior students from Hiram Johnson High School in Sacramento will visit the law school between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
