* April 2, Thursday -- Native American composer Brent Michael Davids will give a free lecture and concert on campus featuring his work here as a visiting Rockefeller Fellow in residence with the campus's Indigenous Research Center of the Americas. Davids' commissions include compositions for the Joffrey Ballet, Kronos Quartet and the National Symphony Orchestra. The event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Cabernet Room of the Silo Building at UC Davis.
