Saturday, April 18 -- Tens of thousands of people will come to UC Davis for its 85th annual Picnic Day, one of the largest picnics and student-run events in the country. The daylong open house will begin at 9:30 a.m. with opening ceremonies on the north end of the Quad, followed by a traditional parade through the campus and downtown Davis. Other features will include musical entertainment, dancing, departmental exhibits, a chemistry magic show, sporting events, campus tours, police dog agility demonstrations and other animal exhibitions.
