* April 21, Tuesday -- Students from UC Davis will host a daylong conference exploring ways to improve access to the UC system for students from underrepresented groups. Speakers at "Breaking Down Barriers to UC Access and Success" will include elected politicians, student leaders and representatives from underrepresented groups, higher education, policy institutes and government. The conference, to begin at 9 a.m. in Freeborn Hall on campus, is being sponsored by the Associated Students of UC Davis, the Institute of Governmental Affairs at UC Davis and others.
