Leslie J. "Bees" Butler is an authority on dairy marketing and policy issues. He can comment on both federal and state government dairy policies and programs, biotechnology, technology transfer and many of the issues that are currently facing the dairy industry. He has for many years intensively tracked recombinant bovine somatotropin (also known as bovine growth hormone) research and use in dairy production. Butler is a cooperative extension dairy specialist and lecturer in the UC Davis Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics.
