This spring 5,357 graduates are expected to receive diplomas at UC Davis in a series of commencement exercises that begins Saturday, May 24, and ends Sunday, June 15, as individuals graduate from three colleges and four professional schools. The number of students expected to complete their undergraduate studies this spring comes to 2,374, bringing the total number of undergraduate diplomas awarded this academic year to 4,003. The number of students receiving graduate or professional degrees is 1,354. Among the commencement speakers are Bill Richardson, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, who will deliver his talk Saturday, May 24, at 10:30 a.m. in the UC Davis Health Sciences Quadrangle; and California Department of Food and Agricultural Secretary Ann Veneman, who will address more than 1,000 graduating seniors in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at 9 a.m. in Recreation Hall.
