Ross Bauer, an associate professor of music at UC Davis, recently received a commission from the Fromm Foundation at Harvard University to compose a work for soprano and six instruments. The work will be premiered by Susan Narucki and the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players during their 1993-94 season.
