-- UC Davis' National Youth Sports Program has been given a 1999 Meritorious Program Award from the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Only 15 programs out of 200 nationwide are selected for this award. The campus program, which is run by Lianne Boren, director of UC Davis Educational Talent Search, won the same award the year before.
