-- Ning Pan, associate professor of textiles and clothing, was elected vice president of The Fiber Society at the group's fall conference in Clemson, S.C. The organization is recognized worldwide as the major professional society focusing on fiber and textile engineering and science programs. Pan has been a member of the society's governing council since 1998. In the fall of 2001, Pan and Professor You-Lo Hsieh, also in the textiles and clothing department, will co-host the society's first West Coast conference.
