John Kinsella, dean of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of California, Davis, has been named the first annual recipient of the Stephen S. Chang Award, sponsored by the American Oil Chemists Society. The award is given to a scientist or technologist for decisive accomplishments in research to improve lipid-related food products. Kinsella received the award, consisting of a plaque and honorarium, at the annual meeting of the American Oil Chemists Society in Chicago in May.
