Fall convocation ceremonies will kick off the new school year at UC Davis on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. in Freeborn Hall. During the annual campus tradition, Chancellor Larry Vanderhoef will deliver an address titled "Natural Selection in Traumatic Times: The Agony and Ecstasy of a Campus Comeback." Alan Taylor, Pulitzer Prize-winning professor of history at UC Davis, will also offer remarks to the campus community. In addition, the event will feature music by the UCD Symphony Orchestra.
