Picnic Day at the University of California, Davis, will get off to an early and hearty start with the Cal Aggie Alumni Association's Pancake Breakfast in Freeborn Hall. The breakfast will be 7:30-9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 11. "The breakfast gives alumni and families a chance to visit with former classmates and is a convenient place for students to have breakfast with their parents," said Orville Thompson, chair of this year's event. "It's a fun way for everyone in the community to start their Picnic Day." Entertainment will be provided by the Cal Aggie Alumni Marching Band, and a breakfast of pancakes, sausage and beverages will be served. Cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 10, and free for children under age 5. For reservation information, call Mary Poppingo, event coordinator, at (916) 757-3202. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for purchase. The breakfast, begun eight years ago by the Cal Aggie Alumni Association, is co-sponsored this year by the Davis Chancellor's Club, Century Club and the UC Davis School of Medicine Alumni Association.
