Pat Callan, executive director of the California Higher Education Policy Center, will close this academic year's Chancellor's Forum on the Future series Tuesday, May 2, with a talk titled "Future of California Higher Education: By Design or Default." Launched this year in recognition of dramatic changes faced by higher education institutions, the lecture series was designed to explore the future of higher education as perceived by experts around the country. The center headed by Callan is an independent, nonpartisan and nonprofit organization founded in 1992 to stimulate discussion of the future of higher education in the state of California. His talk will begin at 4 p.m. in the campus University Club.
