-- UC Davis American studies professor Patricia Turner has been elected to a three-year term on the 20-member National Council of the American Studies Association. Her term ends June 2002. The 6,000-member association is open to all persons who have an interdisciplinary interest in American culture and includes those from colleges, universities, museums, foundations, societies and other institutions.
