-- UC Davis food engineering professor Paul Singh received double honors over the summer with his election as fellow to two professional societies -- the Institute of Food Technologists and the American Society of Agricultural Engineers. Each group lauded Singh for his talents as an educator and a researcher. The agricultural engineers society said Singh's application of engineering principles and mathematical modeling to food processing has led, among other things, to lower energy requirements, improved analytical techniques and better product quality.
