The Cal Aggie Alumni Association will once again start off Picnic Day festivities at the University of California, Davis, with a pancake breakfast for members of the campus and community. Breakfast will be served 7:30-9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, in Freeborn Hall. "The 12th annual Pancake Breakfast is sure to be an outstanding kickoff to this year's Picnic Day activities," said Scott Carney, alumni chair of this year's event. Carney, a special projects coordinator with FamiliesFirst Inc. in Davis, is a 1992 graduate of UC Davis. "The breakfast has become a traditional place for alumni, friends and family to meet, share old times and get geared up for a full day of fun." A breakfast of pancakes, sausage and beverages will be served, and the Cal Aggie Alumni Marching Band will perform. Also at this year's breakfast, which is co-sponsored by the UC Davis School of Medicine Alumni Association, medical students will provide free blood pressure readings. Tickets cost $5 for CAAA members, $6 for nonmembers, $4 for children 5 to 10, and are free for children under age 5. To make reservations, call the alumni association at (916) 752-0286.
