UC Davis is gearing up to host hundreds of prospective students, their parents and school counselors on Saturday, Oct. 22, for a preview of college life. The annual Preview Day draws participants from throughout California, Oregon, Washington and Arizona. The all-day event will begin at 9:45 a.m. in Freeborn Hall. Information sessions cover subjects including admissions procedures, financial aid, housing, academic offerings, student services and student life. One of the most attended events is a workshop presented by UC Davis students who informally talk about student life, academic classes, financial-aid opportunities and recreation, according to Arnette Bates, Preview Day coordinator. The students' program begins at 10:30 a.m. in MU II.
