For his outstanding contributions to the park and recreation movement, UC Davis environmental horticulture professor Seymour Gold has received the Professional Honor Award from the National Recreation and Park Association. The award recognizes Gold's research and publications on recreation planning, risk management and urban parks as pioneering and fundamental intellectual contributions to public policy and professional practice.
