Richard Figueroa, a professor of education at UC Davis, has been named to a study team of prominent school district superintendents and UC faculty to examine the education of non-native English speaking and ethnic and racial minority pupils. The team was formed by a new partnership of UC faculty and California school district superintendents called the Educational Leadership Institute that is based at UC Santa Barbara.
