Irwin Feinberg, a UC Davis professor of psychiatry and staff psychiatrist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinez, received the Distinguished Scientist Award at the annual meeting of the Sleep Research Society in Washington, D.C. recently. The award is the society's highest honor, given in recognition of sustained and significant contributions to basic research on sleep.
