Dean Simonton, professor of psychology at UC Davis, has been named the recipient of the 1996 Sir Francis Galton Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Study of Creativity, conferred by the International Association of Empirical Aesthetics during the opening ceremonies of its conference at the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague.
