The 11:30 p.m.one-alarm fire was kept in check by the fire sprinklers that automatically responded to the rising temperature. Firefighters knocked down the fire quickly but remained on the fire scene until 3 a.m. Fire investigators say the cause of the fire was related to the fluorescent light ballast electrical system located in the ceiling. Several roof rafters and ceiling tiles caught fire. Damage was confined to an area of 20 feet by 7 feet. Damage estimate is $35,000. Computers, files and desks were damaged as a result of the fire.
