Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will address "Our Environmental Destiny" Thursday, May 8, at UC Davis during a public lecture. There will be a press conference in the Garrison Room of the Memorial Union at 7:15 p.m. prior to his talk. In addition, the first 10 minutes of the lecture may be filmed. The lecture itself begins at 8 p.m. in Freeborn Hall. A dynamic and compelling speaker, Kennedy will emphasize the challenges that lie ahead and will offer pragmatic solutions for dealing with such issues as global warming, the greenhouse effect and water pollution. He is the final speaker in the UC Davis Presents Distinguished Speakers Series for 1996-97. Earlier in the day, Kennedy will participate in a seminar with students at the campus' School of Law, from 4-4:45 p.m. in Room 092.
