-- Sally and Gerald DeNardo, UC Davis professor and professor emeritus of internal medicine, respectively, at the School of Medicine, have been chosen to receive the Cassen Prize, one of the highest awards given in the field of nuclear medicine. The DeNardos, co-directors of the internal medicine department's Section of Radiodiagnosis/Therapy, will receive the award in June at a meeting of the Society of Nuclear Medicine in St. Louis. The prize, which includes $25,000, recognizes the DeNardos' "significant contributions to the science and practice of nuclear medicine," including their international leadership in the development of radioimmunotherapy.
