Janet Hethorn, an assistant professor of environmental design at UC Davis, designed and created three ski jackets that were selected for inclusion in a national juried exhibition at the 1991 annual meeting of the International Textile and Apparel Association . The ITAA is a professional association of college professors and specialists in textiles and apparel. Each year, members and their students submit their most original and creative designs to a panel of experts, who select the best entries for exhibition at the association's annual meeting, held this year in San Francisco.
