Chris Burke, best known for his role as "Corky" in the television series "Life Goes On," will highlight the UC Davis 10th annual Disability Awareness Week, April 15-19. Burke will share his personal experience as an actor with Down Syndrome during a presentation at noon on Tuesday, April 16, in the Main Theatre. The weeklong campus program focuses on the accomplishments of persons with disabilities. At noon on Wednesday, April 17, in MU II, there'll be a presentation on the ways other countries address the needs of people with disabilities. At noon on Thursday, April 18, in MU II, there will be a discussion on becoming more sensitive and respectful of people with varying disabilities. The annual wheelchair obstacle-course challenge among faculty, staff and students will be at noon on Friday, April 19, in the Silo courtyard.
