Affirmative action in higher education and who should be included in such programs will be discussed by Paul Brest, dean of Stanford University's law school, during the 1993 Edward L. Barrett Jr. Lecture on Constitutional Law at UC Davis. The lecture will take place at noon on Thursday, March 18, in the Moot Courtroom of King Hall at the UC Davis School of Law. Brest has a background in civil rights litigation and has taught at Stanford for more than 20 years. In his address, titled "Diversity," Brest will talk about rationales for affirmative action in higher education for students as well as for faculty.
