The UC Davis Student Art Show is a juried, open competition for all enrolled UC Davis students in the 1994-95 academic year. The juror for this year, the seventh annual competition, was Bette Burgoyne, a Bay Area artist and ceramics and drawing instructor at San Francisco Art Institute.
Twenty-nine entries from 26 students were selected. The MU Gallery will buy certain student pieces in the show. In addition, several Davis businesses and campus services have donated gift certificates and merchandise to be awarded to the students. Supporters include The Avid Reader, Bogey's Books; Café Roma, Davis Food Co-Op, Davisville Travel, Gayle's Books, Green Planet Juicery, Hibachi Japanese Restaurant, Hibbert Lumber, Mocha Joe's and, at UC Davis, the Bookstore, Craft Center, Outdoor Adventures and Recreation Pool.
The Memorial Union Art Gallery is wheelchair accessible. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
