A student who lives in a residence at UC Davis has been charged with a drug-related offense after campus police searched the student's room Tuesday.
Peter Reis, 18, of Menlo Park is charged with possession for sales of marijuana, hashish and psilocybin (hallucinogenic mushrooms).
Detective Sgt. Joyce Souza of the UC Davis Police Department says campus police obtained a search warrant for Reis' room in the course of investigating a Friday afternoon incident at the Webster Hall residence, off Russell Boulevard.
Police responded to a 911 call after two juveniles reportedly entered the residence Friday to visit Reis. During the visit, a 17-year-old juvenile allegedly pulled a hammer out of his backpack and assaulted his companion and Reis.
One of the juveniles was sent to Yolo County Juvenile Hall on two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
