For many college seniors this is the time of the year when the search for a career job becomes top priority. The Internet has emerged as a useful tool in the world of career development, according to Joe Scuderi of the UC Davis Internship and Career Center. "Myriad job listings in every imaginable field and location around the country and world can be found on line with the right browsing techniques," says Scuderi. "It is also a good resource for students in scientific or technical fields because they can search to see if a company has a Web page where detailed information can be obtained by prospective employees." Students are attending special workshops on campus where these techniques are being taught. The last workshop for the winter quarter will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, in Room 223 of the Social Science and Humanities Building.
