"Leadership in the Television Industry" is among the popular classes in a series of special leadership workshops for UC Davis students this winter quarter. The classes link business, educational, political and other regional leaders with graduate and undergraduate students. The workshop, scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, in MU II, examines the position of leadership in the television industry. Grant Rosenberg, a producer with Warner Brothers Television and an alumnus of UC Davis, currently writes episodes for "Lois and Clark" and "The Outer Limits." More than 1,500 students regularly sign up for these workshops, which add a leadership component to their educational experience, according to Marti Hanna, coordinator of the Leadership Development Series. "The presenters help the students understand that today's leaders must work to improve themselves, are service oriented, value differences and radiate positive energy," says Hanna.
