Students Ready for Annual Egg-Drop Contest

What: Throwing raw eggs off a five-story building doesn't always mean a messy splatter of yolks and egg whites. The event attracts hundreds of community participants. Small, light vehicles designed to protect fragile shells, the delivery-devices are also judged on design (creativity and materials) and weight (lighter the better). In previous years, eggs have been tucked in foam footballs, padded boxes, parachutes, a rubber chicken and even a rag doll. Parking From Interstate 80 take the UC Davis exit.
