It's back to school for more than 22,000 students at UC Davis when fall quarter classes begin on Thursday, Sept. 30. Most students will return on Sunday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. when on-campus residence halls open for students. A full slate of activities are scheduled for students the first week. Students will be busy registering for classes, purchasing books and supplies at the campus bookstore and licensing their bicycles. They also will be seeking last-minute suggestions from financial-aid counselors. Recreation Pool is a haven for undergraduate socializing, and Recreation Hall is a good place to find health-conscious students jogging, playing basketball, lifting weights or playing racquetball.
