UC Davis sent good news this week to students who applied for admission next fall. Congratulations went to 14,848 who met the undergraduate admissions requirements to enter as freshmen or community-college transfers. "Traditionally, we calculate that one-third of those receiving admission notices will actually attend this campus," says Darlene Hunter, assistant director of undergraduate admissions at UC Davis. "The Davis campus anticipates an increase of 300 new undergraduate students for fall '94." Students who have applied to several colleges must now decide which one best meets their needs. Frequently asked questions from prospective students and their parents focus on financial-aid opportunities, campus safety, availability of classes, access to professors, guaranteed housing and graduation rates, according to Hunter.
