Deanne Vochatzer, the new women's track and field coach at the University of California, Davis, has been named head coach for the 1993 World University Games. The games will be held July 8-18 in Buffalo, N.Y. The World Games, Pan American Games and the Olympic Games comprise the "big three" competitions of the track and field schedule.
