The 27th annual La Raza Cultural Days at the University of California, Davis, will begin Monday, May 6, and conclude Sunday, May 12, with a week of activities focusing on the theme of "shattering the illusion through tradition, unity and education."
Highlights of the weeklong celebration include an alumni panel of UC Davis graduates who have risen to the top of their professions; a dance performance by Danzantes del Alma; Folclórico do Brasil, a dance troupe brought to campus by UC Davis Presents; and the Gran Tardeada, an all-day event of live music, dance, car exhibits and a health fair. Most events are free and all are open to the public.
