UC Davis will award an estimated 5,198 degrees at its eight remaining commencements Thursday, June 18, through Sunday, June 21. At earlier ceremonies, 166 law and 87 medical degrees were awarded.
Graduate Studies will confer 765 degrees at its 6:30 p.m. commencement Thursday in Recreation Hall.
The School of Veterinary Medicine will award 131 degrees at noon Friday in Recreation Hall.
The College of Engineering will confer 395 degrees at 6:30 p.m. Friday in Recreation Hall.
Michael Ziegler, president and chief executive officer of PRIDE Industries in Roseville, will speak at the Graduate School of Management commencement at 10 a.m. Saturday in Freeborn Hall. The school will award 126 degrees.
The College of Letters and Science will award 2,312 degrees in two separate programs at 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Recreation Hall. Associate Justice Rodney Davis of the California Court of Appeal, 3rd Appellate District, will speak at both ceremonies.
The Division of Biological Sciences will recognize recipients of 874 bachelor degrees during its 9 a.m. ceremony Sunday in Recreation Hall. (These graduates are included among those receiving degrees from the College of Letters and Science and the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.) Charles Soderquist, a UC regent and president of the Technology Development Center in West Sacramento, will address the graduates.
The College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences will award 1,469 degrees at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Recreation Hall. Richard Rominger, deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and an alumnus, will speak.
