The UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine has been ranked as the nation's top professional school out of 27 in its field, according to the most recent evaluations released by U.S. News & World Report. The campus's agricultural engineering graduate program ranked fourth in the country, and its graduate fine arts program tied for 10th. The School of Medicine placed 13th in primary care out of 62 schools. The new rankings were among those released for 16 graduate and professional specialties for both public and private universities and colleges. The UC Davis School of Law was listed as 39th out of 179 schools reviewed, the College of Engineering ranked 40th among 219 programs and the Graduate School of Management placed 44th among 300 programs. U.S. News & World Report conducts annual reputational surveys of several selected doctoral programs based on scholarship, curriculum and the quality of faculty and graduate students. Professional school programs were evaluated on additional criteria, including placement of students in jobs.
