WHO: UC Davis Police spokesperson Paul Pfotenhauer, Yolo County Coroner's Office spokesperson Mary Williams (possible) WHEN: 2:30 p.m. today WHERE: UC Davis Police Department BACKGROUND: The body of Andrew Wieman, 20, was discovered in the bedroom of his Kappa Sigma fraternity house on Thursday, Jan. 4, by students concerned that he had not appeared at the first day of classes. The Yolo County Coroner's Office determined the cause of death to be stab wounds to the neck and chest. An ongoing investigation is being conducted by both the coroner's office and UC Davis police to determine the manner in which the wounds were inflicted. The Wieman family of Eureka also hired an independent pathologist to examine the remains. DIRECTIONS: Take Highway 113 north to Hutchison Drive exit.
