Fantastic polyurethane forms designed as visual merchandising props will be the subject of the UC Davis Design Gallery's opening exhibition this fall. The props will include melting columns from Pompeii, a Tyrannosaurus Rex emerging from a primordial forest and four-foot angel wings flying overhead.
Edward Martinez, the exhibition designer, has worked as a retail store designer creating environments for clients including Jessica McClintock Inc. and Levi Strauss and Co. He is the principal of EMf, a San Francisco-based business that manufactures products, furniture and fixtures for department stores.
The reception and the exhibit are free and open to the public.
