UC Davis Emeritus Extension Food Technologist Wade Brant was recently awarded the MacDougall Medal by the World's Poultry Science Association. The medal acknowledges meritorious service of a member to the association. A member of the association since 1954, Brant served as treasurer and assistant secretary for 18 years and as a member of the association council for 20 years. He worked at UC Davis from 1959 to 1985. His work involved processing and quality of eggs, poultry meat and red meats.
