UC Davis Extension pomology specialist Warren Micke recently received the American Society for Horticultural Science Outstanding Extension Adviser Award for his contributions to the profession and science of horticulture and to the industry through innovative extension programs. In addition, the Leslie J. Nickels Trust presented Micke with the 1997 Distinguished Service Award for excellence in research and educational programs. He also received an Educational Materials Award for the book he edited, "Almond Production."
