* May 12-17, Monday to Saturday -- Black Family Week celebrates the cultures of people of African descent with a weeklong event that culminates in the grand finale program, Black Family Day. The event officially kicks off noon Monday on the Quad and that evening features a debate on reparations. Other highlights include a black business workshop Tuesday evening; and HIV screening on the Quad from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and a concert by rapper Xzibit that same evening. Black Family Day, which begins at 2 p.m. Saturday, includes entertainment and children's activities.
