The campus known for its bikes has collected hundreds of abandoned bicycles that will go to the highest bidders on Saturday, May 3, at the spring UC Davis bicycle auction.More than 300 bicycles of all shapes, sizes and conditions will go on sale at 9 a.m. behind the campus Fire and Police Building. The bikes, retrieved by police after being stolen or lost, are collected during the fall and winter months. They will be joined on the auction block by a variety of unclaimed lost-and-found items that include electronic equipment, jewelry, clothing, and books. The funds raised help support the campus bicycle program.
