When Kathleen Brown talks, MBA Grads will listen

Former Democratic Party nominee for California's governor and state treasurer Kathleen Brown will be the commencement speaker for the UC Davis Graduate School of Management on Saturday, June 14. Currently, Brown is the executive vice president and managing director of sales and business development for Bank of America's Wealth Management Group. She has responsibility for the overall activities for investment products and services offered to the bank's clients. In addition, she was appointed by President Clinton two months ago to co-chair the newly formed Capital Budget Commission, which is looking at how best to reflect and encourage public investment while maintaining strict fiscal discipline in the federal budget. Brown received her law degree from Fordham University in 1985 and her bachelor's degree from Stanford University in 1969. Her speech for the business school ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in Freeborn Hall on the UC Davis campus.
