"Empowering to Equality," a statewide women's conference sponsored by University of California and California State University students associations, will take place at UC Davis Oct. 15-17 in the Memorial Union. Faye Wattleton, former president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America; Elizabeth Toledo, president of California's National Organization for Women; and Pat Towner, executive director of the California Commission on the Status of Women, will be featured speakers. Topics to be addressed include activism and social responsibility, women's health-care politics and women's economics.
