The California Society of Printmakers (CSP) was founded in 1913 as the California Society of Etchers and in 1968 merged with the Bay Printmakers Society. "Selected Works" consists of 38 works by 35 artists selected by Roger Hankins, director of the Memorial Union Art Gallery. The works reflect the diversity of techniques and approaches to both printmaking and visual art expression as practiced by CSP members. Included are examples of lithography, etching, monotype, silk screening and other methods in which the intent is to produce an image that can be produced as an edition or as a unique print. A nonprofit organization with a membership of 300 artists, art historians, supporters of -more- 2-2-2 Selected Works Exhibition the arts, institutions and collectors, CSP regularly sponsors educational programs throughout Northern California. These programs include lectures, demonstrations, exhibitions and a quarterly publication.
