Kevin Copley, a member of the Transaction Support Services Team in Supply Chain Management, died peacefully on Sept. 21. He was 55 years old.

Copley was a longtime Yolo County resident, growing up in Davis and living in Woodland at the time of his death. He was a UC Davis employee for more than 15 years, much of it supporting Facilities Management as part of Shared Services-Purchasing.

His clients and co-workers described him as helpful and kind.

“During the short time I got to know him I could tell he was concerned with those around him and was a very caring person,” said Joe Petrucci, a Transaction Support Services supervisor. “He was never too busy to help out one of his teammates. His years of support of campus Facilities Maintenance contributed to the success of countless projects that positively impacted the campus community.”

Copley leaves behind a wife and three children, and numerous members of the UC Davis community who benefited from his commitment and kindness. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 8 at Woodland Presbyterian Church, 1324 Columbia Drive.
