Crowdfund UC Davis is held each year in October and February.

UC Davis has launched its October Crowdfund UC Davis campaign, offering the community a chance to support 30 projects led by students, faculty and staff. Running through Oct. 31, the campaign highlights initiatives that create meaningful change on campus and beyond.

This year’s projects span four key themes:

  • Advocacy and community support – programs like the Global Community Emergency Fund and Student Emergency Relief Aid, or SERA, provide immediate assistance in times of need, while initiatives such as Black Family Day and Words Take Wing celebrate culture and inclusion.
  • Health, wellness and sustainability – projects range from breast cancer screening and a study on structural inequality and child health in India, to conservation work at the Stebbins Cold Canyon Reserve and the White Abalone Captive Breeding Program.
  • Innovation, research and technology – students and faculty are advancing discovery through efforts like Baja SAE, the UC Davis Soil Judging Team, and the Tapping Potential Brewing Scholarship.
  • Student organizations and traditions – from athletics and leadership development in clubs like Men’s Rugby and Mock Trial to community celebrations such as the UC Davis Light Festival, all of these projects enrich the Aggie experience.

Since its debut in February 2020, Crowdfund UC Davis has raised over $1 million from more than 9,000 gifts and nearly 8,000 donors. The program takes place each October and February, empowering the campus community to turn ideas into impact.

The Annual and Special Gifts Program, in cooperation with Advancement Services, reviews applications and provides the platform, training, guidance and some publicity — but it’s up to the project teams to fuel the marketing and networking that lead to fundraising success.

The application period for the February 2026 cohort is now open and closes November 14. Apply to join the cohort today!

Crowdfund UC Davis is powered by gifts of every size. Each project reflects the creativity and passion of our campus community — and every donation helps bring those ideas to life.
